In Episode 6 of the Greenblut FM Podcast we speak to Dr Kirsten Brodde.
Kirsten currently works as Senior Campaigner for Greenpeace International on the famous Detox campaign. She studied Medicine, German Literature and Linguistics and received her PhD in Journalism from Hamburg University.
Sometimes its hard to believe that its possible change things for the better and succeed with putting pressure on the giant conventional Fashion Brands.
Since 2011 the Detox campaign has challenged some of the world’s most popular clothing brands to eliminate all releases of hazardous chemicals.
Thanks to the action of over half a million designers, bloggers, fashion fans and activists twenty global fashion leaders, from adidas to Zara, have made a commitment to Detox their clothes.

Marina Spadafora-from Hollywood to Prada to Fair Trade Fashion

Marina Spadafora started her career as costume designer in Hollywood. During the 1990s, she got global attention for her collections that featured sophisticated knits. Since then she has collaborated with labels such as Ferragamo, Prada and Miu Miu.
Marina’s work has always included a strong social and environmental focus, believing that ethics and aesthetics can coincide.
