At the very beginning, Mark Bloom did not feel a passion for fashion. He used Fashion as a vehicle to continue his lifestyle as a backpacker. He was fascinated by travelling to Indonesia, Kathmandu and China.
Buying ready made clothes and other lifestyle products stuff in these countries and selling it back in London at Camden market was a successful experience. Shortly after, Mark aimed to create a recognizable brand that took him only two seasons.
Komodo presented on the stages of international fashion shows in London, Paris, Florence, Tokyo.
The label was one of the first brands in the “old days” promoting the use and development sustainable and organic fibers. Today Komodo is known for its beautiful designs, combining best available sustainable fabrics with traditional skills. Komodo is always cooperating with the same small family run factories and supports social projects and charities.
